Our stay at Baymont By Wyndham Kalamazoo West was a mixed experience. The location near Western Michigan University and downtown Kalamazoo was convenient for exploring the area. The room was spacious and comfortable, with essential amenities like air conditioning.Unfortunately, we encountered several maintenance issues during our stay. The bathroom shower had a slow flow of water, and the toilet flush was noisy, disturbing our sleep. The key cards frequently needed revalidation, causing inconvenience. The staff at the breakfast counter lacked accountability and provided poor customer service. On the bright side, the housekeeping staff, especially the women, were friendly and welcoming.Despite the hotel's potential, cleanliness was a major issue. Our room was not cleaned for three consecutive days, despite multiple requests. The noise levels increased significantly over the weekend, leading to disturbances late at night.Baymont By Wyndham Kalamazoo West has potential but needs improvements in maintenance, cleanliness, and customer service to enhance the guest experience. The hotel's location and amenities such as the fitness center and business center make it a convenient choice for both business and leisure travelers.
